This book is great. I wouldn’t say it’s perfect for someone with zero knowledge, but if you’ve already read up a little or gone through something like a free HUD workshop or talked to a counselor before, this is an amazing follow-up.
It covers a lot and I was honestly impressed with how deep it goes. Felt both educational and weirdly enjoyable. I liked how it gives real examples, then makes you think it through with those end-of-chapter takeaways and what-to-do’s. It builds your understanding topic by topic, and not just surface-level either.
I did run into a couple parts where the info seemed a bit outdated (like some of the loan servicing terms maybe?), so I had to look a few things up myself. But overall? Loved it. Gave me a strong foundation and made me feel like I actually know what to ask and do next.
